Luca began his insurance career in the UK in 1999 as a marine broker, spending 12 years in London with two leading international broking firms, where he was responsible for placing European and global marine cargo business. In 2012, he relocated to Asia to join AXA XL in Singapore, where he served as Underwriting Manager. In this role, Luca drove the profitable growth of the corporate marine cargo portfolio and positioned AXA XL as a go-to market for large and complex risks, including multinational insurance programmes across diverse industry sectors. Luca brings deep technical expertise in direct and facultative (re)insurance of cargo risks, with particular strength in Agri-Commodities, Project Cargo and Energy-related exposures. Luca holds a degree in Economics and International Trade and Monetary Markets, along with a postgraduate qualification in Shipping Management
